Biography
Her birth name is Jillisa René Gibson and she is 22 years old. Her artiste name is Jillisa René. Jillisa is a singer who is from the Barbados. In 2018 she received her Bachelor's of Science in International Relations, from the University of the West Indies Cavehill Campus Barbados. On May 11th 2019 Jillisa did the London College of Music Grade 7 Recital Exam and she received a Distinction. Jillisa loves singing and helping others. She has volunteered in Naples Italy where she taught English to refugee children in 2017.
René has sang at several venues around Barbados which include the Walkin’ in My Own Shoes Show in 2018 and 2019 which occurred on June 9th, 2019, she performed on June 2nd,2019 at a fundraising concert sponsored by Richard Stoute to raise funds for a 3 year old twin who have a medical condition; this concert was held at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, Walled Garden Theatre. Also, on October 17th 2019, René sang at the Reception in Honour of Scholarly Excellence which occurred at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. Moveover, Jillisa performed at the Barbados Public Workers' Cooperative Credit Union Christmas Concert on December 6th 2019 which took place at the Jubilee Gardens Bridgetown Barbados.
As a former Delegate of the Miss Universe Barbados 2019 where she won an award for being the Most-Improved Delegate, Jillisa also developed many other important life skills such as the ability to form positive connections with others, public speaking and interviewing techniques, and the ability to be confidently beautiful. Her other outlet of creativity includes posting lifestyle and inspirational videos on her Youtube Channel called Life With Jill.
